Glastonbury 2013

Okay okay okay.. So I didn't make it to Glastonbury this year :( BUT without a doubt I can clearly say that I will never miss it again, unless I have no money. Since moving away from my hometown (which is 10 minutes away from glastonbury) for uni i have missed out on 2011 & 2013...

AND BOOOYYY OH BOOOYY WAS 2013 A WHOPPER!!

I was at my parents helping my brother look after the 3 doggies while my parents, YES, my parents attended the beauty of the festival. Constantly watching the festival on tv and on the radio made me so adamant never to miss it again.

I wanted to post videos of some of the festival which absolutely killed me, so enjoy them...

Arctic Monkeys have been a band I have loved and loved and loved ever since my school days, so too miss them 10 minutes away from home at my favourite festival was a frickin' killer for me

The XX, again one of my favourite artists of all time played an absolutely beauty of a set (currently listening to this one)

Ever since I was a little'n my parents (mum especially) has played Portishead and their beautiful vibes have stuck with me since. Beth Gibbons, lead singer of Portishead still has such a quality voice and clearly it is much more mature than her earlier days making her voice even more brutally beautiful...

The Foals, I LAV THESE BOIIISS. Lush 'n cute vibes all round...

Ben Howard.. I have never ever felt so moved by a performance my whole life, until I watched Ben Howard. I have vaguely heard a couple of his songs on various radio stations and didn't pay any attention to this man until I saw this, such an incredible, emotional performer, stunning!

So many other highlights of glasto I could post but I would just go on and on, it'd be a bit too much I think... just can't express my passion for glasto!

Cringeahooooy

So I made a video of a few things I'd bought over christmas.. BUT I clearly understand how much I babble and how long winded this is and its so CRINGEY!! However, I'm going to improve this in the next video i make by stop babbling, talk less and just get to the point which is basically showing the world what i've bought! I cringe thinking about this video now, but it's a start :)

OOTD

I never realised until late afternoon that the clothes I am wearing are all my nannys, i was so chuffed!

Top- Hobbs (Nannys top)
Trousers- Laura Ashley (Also nannys)
Shoes- Topshop (£1.50 at the carboot)
Bag- Mulberry (Alot of money)

What have I bought recently?

Here is a quick look and realisation for myself of just some of the things I've recently bought, I should be saving my money though sheeeesh. Just can't help it!

Firstly these Jeffrey Campbell Damsel boots i bought from ebay for £45 including postage, very chuffed about that!

This gorgeous Topshop bodycon dress I've wanted since christmas.. but found out it had sold out. In April Topshop on Oxford Street had a cheeky quick sale so I popped in to see if there was anything good and came across this only beauty in amongst a bundle of dresses, I was so happy especially at the sale price of £15!

More and more and more and more bindis!

These two sterling silver rings were only 50p each at the carboot, so happy!

This gorgeous dip dye print Topshop top was only £1.50 at the carboot :)

and finally! For ages now i have wanted a leather skater skirt although this is faux, it was only £1.50 at the carboot and its by h&m so that was a good buy i reckon :)

I got a job at The Body Shop!

Sooo recently i got a job at The Body Shop and i can't explain how much i love it. The best job i have ever had. Work amongst the nicest and most patient people i've ever worked with and i really enjoy the relationships i'm building with the customers and advising them on The Body Shop products, yay! I got to choose 5 items of make-up for free as part of uniform too, can this job get any better? I get 50% off The Body Shop products too!

V&A's Fashion

Well it's been a long time since i last posted, need to get back into the swing of things but have been ever so busy with uni deadlines and my job at The Body Shop which can i say i absolutely love!

So in the summer i went to the V and A to see the fashion department which had just recently been created, to my excitement! I also went to the Ballroom exhibition which was absolutely beautiful, full of stunning dresses of all shapes, sizes, colours, fabrics and styles. Unfortunately i wasn't allowed to take any photos, i probably could have gotten away with it but i was simply respecting the V and A's rules. So, I don't want to sound a bit 'OTT' but going to this exhibition has to have been a significant part of my life purely because of the one dress i saw on the first floor of the exhibition. Alexander McQueen is definitely, if not, the most influential fashion designer for me. I got to see one of my favourite dresses from his outstanding fall 2008 collection, you will know this dress if you know Alexander McQueen...

Seeing this dress will definitely be one of the most memorable moments of my life. The structure of the dress was incredible, the amount of feathers compiled into this dress that were still in shape as if they hadn't been removed from the birds backside (sorry) was unreal. So voluminous and fluffy, my kinda style. aha.
Back to the fashion department/section at the V and A, here is a collection of photos i took whilst there. I took hundreds of photos, but here are some of my favourites!

Huge fan of corsets, this one is stunning!

I absolutely love these rider style jackets, of course nowadays they're rider style jackets made from fabrics such as wool and tweed, gorgeous!

This dress is also stunning, such a breath taking silhouette and the floral embroidery is beautiful..

This one is a mini dress on a mini mannequin, very cute!

Lace, Lace, Lace! One of my favourite materials ever!

I am a huge fan of wedding dresses, this one blew me away just because it was such an old piece. Full of elegance and grace, wonderful!

Gorgeous wedding shoes, made from silk satin. Look exactly like ballet shoes and i love ballet shoes too.

and finally, this necklace! So intricate and i wish it was on my neck. Recently grown to love necklaces more than i ever have in my life.

Hope you enjoyed this and my words didn't bore you too much. Hopefully my next post will be of some my recent outfit of the day photos xxx
